WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest women's basketball will take part in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge during the 2015-16 season when it hosts Wisconsin at the LJVM Coliseum on Wednesday, Dec. 2.
This year's matchup will be the second all-time between the Demon Deacons and Badgers with Wake Forest taking a 26-point road win (93-67) back on Dec. 28, 1992. In the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, the Deacs overall hold a 2-4 record after dropping an 83-69 decision last season to Michigan in Ann Arbor at the Crisler Center despite Dearica Hamby's 19 points and nine rebounds.
The 2015 edition of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge will be its ninth. The ACC has won six of the first eight challenges, but the two conferences tied 7-7 last year. The 2015-16 season marks the second in a row Wake Forest will compete in the event. The Deacs' two wins in the challenge came in a 60-45 win on the road against Northwestern in 2007 and an 82-65 victory over Minnesota at home in 2011.
