Deacons in Summer Soccer: June 18

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Several current, former and future Demon Deacons are furthering their careers this summer. Wake Forest has four representatives in the USL W-League, eight in the Women's Premier Soccer League and two who have spent time with national teams.
United States National Teams - Katie Stengel, Ally Haran
Stengel helped the U.S. U-23 squad win the Four Nations Tournament in Norway earlier this month with a 2-0-1 record. Stengel started in a 2-1 win over Sweden and 2-2 tie against Norway and came off the bench as the Americans defeated England 2-1 to clinch the title. Haran has spent time this summer training with both the U-20 and U-19 National Teams.
W-League
Braddock Road Stars Elite - Kahla Seymour, Kristen Meier
Seymour, a current sophomore, and Meier, an alumna, have played in three and two games, respectively. Seymour has taken three shots in 259 minutes of action, while Meier has taken one in 108 minutes. Braddock is winless through six games.
Charlotte Lady Eagles - Claudia Day
Day has played in all four of Charlotte's matches, making three starts. As a defensive midfielder, the Wake Forest sophomore is yet to take a shot, but has helped the Lady Eagles jump out to a 3-1 record.
Washington Spirit Reserves - Maddie Huster
Huster has played in all five games and made four starts for the Spirit Reserves. She played the full 90 minutes in each of the first three contests and has taken seven shots, helping lead Washington to an undefeated start to the year at 4-0-1.

Alabama FC - Leigh Haynes
Haynes, an incoming freshman, has helped Alabama FC to a 1-3 start to the season, including a 1-0 victory over Chattanooga FC.
Beach FC - Nonie Frishette
The 2014 U.S. Youth National Championship team a year ago, Frishette has made one appearance as she's helped Beach FC to a 2-2 start to the season.
Boston Breakers Reserves - Kim Marshall, Annick McBryar
Marshall and McBryar, recent alumnae, have played in every game as the Boston Reserves are out to a perfect 5-0 start. The Wake Forest duo has helped their squad outscore opponents 20-4.
California Storm - Katie Dry
Dry has also helped the Storm get off to a strong start. After a season-opening loss, the Storm combined to win the next three games by a combined margin of 17-5.
Florida Krush- Lindsay Preston, Sarah Medina
Current sophomores Preston and Medina have helped the Krush jump out to a 2-1-1 start to the season. Preston has spent time in goal and Medina had a goal and an assist over the first two contests.
Legends FC - Peyton Perea
Perea, an incoming freshman, has helped Legends FC start the year with a 3-2 mark, including wins over Tijuana Xolos USA, L.A. Villa FC and Pateadores.
