WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Six Demon Deacons were recognized on Phil Steele's 2015 Preseason All-ACC Teams, highlighted by linebacker Brandon Chubb and punter Alexander Kinal on the first team.
Additionally, tight end Cam Serigne and defensive lineman Tylor Harris were selected to the second team and linebackers Marquel Lee and Hunter Williams were fourth-team picks.
A redshirt-senior entering his third year as a starter, Chubb ranked second on the team with a career-best 109 tackles a season ago. He also recorded 6.5 tackles for loss and three sacks in addition to a pair of forced fumbles.
Kinal is also a redshirt-senior, heading into his fourth year as the starter. The program's all-time record-holder in punting, Kinal averaged 43.6 yards per boot and placed 27 inside opponents' 20-yard lines.
Serigne posted a historic redshirt-freshman season in which he was the team's leading receiver. He pulled in 54 catches for 531 yards, also catching a team-best five touchdowns to lead the receiving corps.
Until breaking his foot late in the 2014 season, Harris was a force to be reckoned with on the defensive front. He totaled 25 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss, but led the team with four fumbles recovered and three blocked kicks.
Lee exceeded the 100-tackle plateau in his sophomore campaign, finishing third with 101 tackles. He also led the team with 12 tackles for loss and was second with four sacks, also forcing a fumble.
Williams, a team captain, played in all 12 games and finished with 60 total tackles. He was in the top five on the team with seven tackles for loss in addition to a sack, interception, and pair of fumble recoveries.
Florida State and Louisville were the only two other programs with three linebackers selected as Preseason All-ACC.
Wake Forest opens its 2015 campaign at BB&T Field against Elon on Sept. 3 at 7 p.m.
