Two Deacons Earn Preseason TopDrawerSoccer.com Accolades

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest men's soccer team had two players receive preseason honors from TopDrawerSoccer.com. Senior forward Michael Gamble was named to the Preseason Best XI second team and midfielder Jack Harrison was named to the All-Freshman Team.
Gamble led the Demon Deacons in scoring last season, with six goals and 10 assists. The Columbia, Md., native earned first-team All-ACC honors in 2014.
A native of Bolton, England, Harrison comes to Wake Forest from the Berkshire School in Sheffield, Mass. A two-time NSCAA High School All-American, he was the 2015 Gatorade National Player of the Year.
The Demon Deacons open the 2015 regular season on Friday as they host Santa Clara. Game time at Spry Stadium is 7 p.m. Wake Forest went undefeated in two preseason exhibition games, playing to a 1-1 draw at Furman on Aug. 16 and defeating Kentucky 3-0 on Aug. 22.
Fans can purchase single game tickets and season tickets for both the men's and women's soccer programs. Single game tickets are $5 per game and $3 for groups of eight or more. Season tickets are $48 for adults and $27 for youth and seniors. For more information, please call (336) 758-3322.
