Wake Forest Tournament History
• The Demon Deacons look to defend their Primland Collegiate Invitational title, having won the inaugural event last year
• Wake Forest shot 38-under at last year's tournament, one shot off the school 54-hole record, to edge Auburn by one shot
• Paul McBride and Davis Womble, both in the lineup this year, were T-3rd last year after shooting 11-under over the three rounds
Wake Forest Notes
• The Demon Deacons won their opening tournament of the season, the Rod Myers Invitational, edging host Duke by one shot.
• Will Zalatoris clinched the win for Wake Forest and the Rod Myers individual title with a birdie on the 18th hole of the final round.
• With a victory this week at Primland, the Demon Deacons would repeat as champions of a tournament for the first time since winning the General Hackler Championship in Myrtle Beach in 2008 and 2009. It would also mark the first time since the start of the 2002-03 season that the Deacons would win consecutive tournaments (Wake Forest won The International Collegiate and the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate to open the 2002-03 season).
