Men's Soccer Announces 2016 Camp Dates

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest men's soccer has announced dates for the 2016 Bobby Muuss Soccer Camps that will take place on various dates between January and the final week of July.

Head coach Bobby Muuss and the Wake Forest men's soccer staff will be holding seven camps throughout the next seven months, starting with the Winter Showcase Camp on January 23. The final camp of the summer – the High School Team Camp – is scheduled for July 29-31.

Winter Showcase Camp – January 23, 2016
Our Winter Showcase is designed to meet the needs of players who are seriously interested in being evaluated at the highest level. Training sessions will be geared towards challenging players and teaching them the Wake Way. The day will be spent on the field in training and game situation; and we will set aside time to inform players about the college process and what it takes to reach the next level. We want to give you the tools and information needed to make it to Collegiate Soccer.
Spring Break Camp – March 28-31, 2016
Our Spring Break Camp is a great way to spend your break. Camp runs Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The emphasis during the camp will be the basics in technical and tactical training and fun. In the event that Spring Break is shortened due to number of snow days, our camp dates will be adjusted to the new vacation schedule.
Pre-Tryout Camp – May 16-19, 2016
We have received feedback from players and coaches alike and have designed a camp specific to the needs of the local youth soccer players who are preparing for tryouts. In this four-day camp, you will be trained by the Wake Forest Coaching staff on the technical and tactical areas of the game. Our aim is to continue to develop you and work on any areas that you want to improve on before your specific tryout.
Day Camp – June 13-17, 2016
The Wake Forest Soccer Day Camp will provide a stimulating way for young players to learn in a fun environment. This camp runs Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Campers will learn The Wake Way with the help of many of Wake Forest's soccer players, as well as some of the best college, high school and youth coaches in the nation.
Residential Camp – June 19-22, 2016
This four-day intense training camp is held to maximize player development and teach the game the right way…The Wake Way. Residential campers participate in three training sessions per day. Morning sessions consist of technical training; afternoon sessions cover the tactical aspects of the game and incorporate small-sided competitions. The day concludes with an evening session of 11 v. 11 competitive matches. Goalkeepers will be coached by reigning NSCAA National Assistant Coach of the Year Dane Brenner.
Academy Showcase Camp – July 19-21, 2016
We have received feedback from players and coaches alike and have designed a camp specific to the needs of the college-bound elite level soccer player. The habits it takes to make it to the next level will be shared and taught in order for you to reach the next level. In this intense, two-day camp, you will be trained by the Wake Forest Coaching Staff as well as other top-level coaches from the area. Days are spent on the field in training and game situations; evenings and downtime will be used to inform players about the college process and what it takes to reach the next level. We want to give you the tools and information needed to make it to the next level.
High School Team Camp – July 29-31, 2016
High School Camp runs Friday through Sunday and contains a minimum of two training sessions a day, along with competitive games against State Championships caliber high school teams from across North Carolina. High School Camp is the perfect way to bring your high school team together for a preseason camp, and a chance to play against quality opponents while being able to work side-by-side with the Wake Forest Staff and other top-level college coaches. The emphasis during the camp will be focused on your individual team needs.
