WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Two Wake Forest men's soccer players are set to find out what the next step in their careers will be as Major League Soccer is set to hold the MLS SuperDraft at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
Four-year standout Michael Gamble was invited to the MLS Player Combine, held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, from Jan. 7-12 while freshman sensation Jack Harrison joined Gamble at the Combine after electing to turn pro by signing a Generation adidias contract. The chance to play at the Combine allowed players to showcase their skills in front of MLS coaches and general managers.
Gamble and Harrison are both expected to be selected in Thursday's MLS SuperDraft, which will be streamed live on YouTube, starting at 1 p.m. The Chicago Fire have the first pick in the draft, followed by the Colorado Rapids, Philadelphia Union, New York City FC and Real Salt Lake.
