WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Atlantic Coast Conference on Tuesday announced the football schedules for all 14 teams for the upcoming 2016 season. For the first time since 2012, Wake Forest will play seven home games including three non-conference contests.

The Demon Deacons open at home on Thursday, Sept. 1 against Tulane. This will be just the third meeting with the Green Wave and the first since 1995.

Wake Forest begins ACC play on Sept. 10 at Duke. The Deacons return home to face Delaware on Sept. 17 before a two-game road trip to Indiana on Sept. 24 and a contest at NC State on Oct. 1. On Oct. 8, the Deacons will host Syracuse at BB&T Field.

The Deacons play at Florida State on Oct. 15 before an open date on Oct. 22.

After the off week, the Deacons will finish with four of five games at home. Wake Forest hosts Army on Oct. 29 and Virginia on Nov. 5. The Deacons visit Louisville on Nov. 12 before finishing up at BB&T Field with CFP finalist Clemson on Nov. 19 and Boston College on Nov. 26.

Entering his third season at Wake Forest, head coach Dave Clawson is enthusiastic about the 2016 schedule.

"We are excited to have seven home games in front of our fans at BB&T stadium," said Clawson. "The ACC will once again be one of the top conferences in the country and we look forward to the many challenges the schedule presents."

All game times and television networks will be released at a later date.
