Three Deacs Reach Final Round of LPGA Q-School

VENICE, Fla. -- Past and current members of the Wake Forest women's golf team advanced to Stage III of the LPGA Qualifying School last weekend. Allison Emrey (Class of 2015) , Olafia Kristinsdottir (Class of 2014) and current senior Sierra Sims all finished in the top 30 of the Stage II Qualifying School tournament at Plantation Golf and Country Club.

Emrey finished T-8th at the event, shooting 2-under over the four-round tournament. Kristinsdottir was T-12th after shooting even par over four rounds. Sims was T-30th by shooting five-over for the tournament.

All three players will compete for a place on the 2017 LPGA Tour during Stage III of qualifying school, held Nov. 30 to Dec. 4 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. The top finishers of the event (number to be determined) will secure a LPGA tour card, while those who don't qualify will have a place on the Symetra Tour.
