DEACS MEETS COUGARS IN CHARLESTON 3rd PlACE GAME
• Wake Forest seeks its second consecutive third-place finish at a November tournament as it meets host College of Charleston
• The Deacs finished third in last year's Maui Invitational with a win over Indiana, a loss to Vanderbilt and a win over UCLA
• Wake has not played a true road game in a November tournament since a 76-71 victory at Arkansas in the 2001-02 Preseason NIT
SERIES HISTORY
• The Deacs have won both previous meetings against the College of Charleston
• Wake Forest defeated the Cougars 68-58 in the first round of the 1994 NCAA Tournament in Lexington, Ky.
• A season later, Wake won 74-64 in matchup at the LJVM Coliseum
• Associate Head Coach Randolph Childress scored 14 points in the NCAA Tournament meeting against the Cougars and 18 points in the rematch the following season
LAST TIME OUT
• Wake Forest suffered its first loss of the season, falling to No. 3 Villanova 96-77
• The Demon Deacons shot 50.0 percent (29-58) from the floor, their third game this season at 50 percent or higher
