Wake Forest Meets Elon for First Time Since 1980
• The Demon Deacons embark on a three-game road trip starting Saturday, Nov. 26, with a 2 p.m. matchup at Elon inside Alumni Gym on Phoenix All-Access.
• Sunday marks the 17th all-time meeting between the Demon Deacons and Phoenix, but it's the first matchup between the two with Elon in the Division I ranks. Overall, the Phoenix holds a 14-2 advantage and has won the last four meetings.

Last Time Out
• Battling back and forth with Southern Conference foe Furman, Wake Forest trailed for more than 27 minutes throughout the game but pulled ahead when it mattered in the fourth quarter to seal the 59-52 victory.
• Trailing 45-41 entering the final quarter, Wake Forest outscored Furman 18-7 in the 10-minute stretch to earn the win, which included a pair of 7-0 runs to open the quarter and regain the lead after Furman answered the initial run.
Ariel Stephenson led Wake Forest with 14 points while Elisa Penna scored 11 points. On the boards, Wake Forest pulled down 48 rebounds and have grabbed at least 47 in four of five games so far. Alex Sharp set a career-high with 11 and Milan Quinn picked up 10. Quinn also finished with eight points, falling just two points short of her 14th-career double-double, which would have tied her for the eighth-most in program history.

Scouting the Phoenix
• Elon is on a four-game winning streak since falling in its season-opener at Green Bay. The run includes wins over Rutgers, Eastern Washington, Central Michigan and Bucknell. Against Rutgers, a common opponent between the two teams, Elon led by as many as 27 midway through the third quarter on the way to the victory.
• The Phoenix are led by three players averaging anywhere from 10.4 to 10.8 points per game. Shay Burnett leads Elon with 10.8 points per contest while Lauren Brown follows closely at 10.6 and Jada Graves off the bench with 10.4.
• Earlier this week, Graves was named CAA Rookie of the Week after averaging 12.7 points over three games last week while shooting better than 50 percent from the floor.

Finding the Touch
• Through five games this season, Wake Forest is shooting 42.4 percent, even though it struggled at 31.4 percent against Furman. Prior to the Furman game, Wake Forest was shooting 45.6 percent, which was tied for fourth in the ACC with Florida State and NC State. The 42.4 percent ranks 10th in the conference.
• A season ago, Wake Forest shot 39.0 percent and shot better than 50 percent once in 33 games. While shooting 53.2 percent in the ACC Tournament against Georgia Tech, Wake Forest's next best shooting night was 46.9 percent at Pitt.
• Already this year, Wake Forest has shot 54.1 percent against Navy, 50 percent against Eastern Michigan and 47.1 percent at LSU.

Next Time Out
• Wake Forest will travel to Illinois for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Wednesday night, Nov. 30, for an 8 p.m. tip on Big Ten Network +.
• The Deacs all-time are 2-5 in the Challenge and are in it for the third-straight season.
