DEACS VISIT NORTHWESTERN IN ACC/BIG TEN CHALLENGE
• Wake Forest begins a span of four-of-five games on the road with a visit to Northwestern in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge
• The Deacs are looking for their first win in the state of Illinois since a 74-43 victory over Mississippi State in the 1996-97 Great Eight event at the United Center
• Wake is looking to win on the road in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge for the second straight season
SERIES HISTORY
• First all-time meeting
• Northwestern is the only first-time opponent on the Deacs' 2016-17 schedule
LAST TIME OUT
• Wake Forest remained unbeaten at home this season with an 86-74 victory over Coastal Carolina on Thanksgiving eve
• The Deacs jumped out a 30-5 lead using an early 21-0 run, but the Chanticleers closed to within four at 44-40 before Wake pushed the lead back to double figures for good
• John Collins had 20 points and a career-high 13 rebounds for his second double-double of the season
• Brandon Childress scored a career-high 15 points
NON-CONFERENCE ROAD WARRIORS
• Wake Forest enters tonight's game having won five straight non-conference road games (at Richmond in 2014-15; at Bucknell, Rutgers, LSU in 2015-16; at Charleston this season)
• The streak is the Deacs' longest since a five-game non-conference road win streak since a six-game streak from 1996-98
UP TO THE CHALLENGE
• Wake Forest has an 11-4 all-time record in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, including a 5-2 road mark
• The Deacs' 11 wins ranks second in the event (Duke - 15)
• Wake is tied with Virginia and Clemson for the most true road wins in the challenge with five (both UVA and CU are at home this season, so a win would give the Deacs the solo lead)
• Wake Forest won 69-68 last season at Rutgers and with a win tonight it would become the fifth team in the history of the series to win a true road game in consecutive seasons (Virginia 2015-16; Maryland 2009-10; Penn State 2008-09; Clemson 2005-06)
