WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Amber Campbell scored a game-high 20 points as Wake Forest fell to Radford, 68-60, on Saturday afternoon in LJVM Coliseum.

Campbell ended the afternoon 6-of-11 from the field and fell one point shy of matching her season-high of 21 which she set at Illinois on Nov. 30.

Milan Quinn, despite being limited to just three minutes in the first half due to foul trouble, got within a single rebound of notching her fifth double-double of the season as she ended the night with 16 points and nine rebounds.

The loss marks the first home loss of the season for the Demon Deacons (7-3), who entered Saturday with a perfect 5-0 record.

Wake Forest found themselves in an early hole against Radford (7-1), as the Highlanders jumped out to a 13-7 lead. A 6-1 run by the Deacs to end the quarter pulled Wake Forest within one through one quarter of play. Layups from Alex Sharp, Campbell and Ariel Stephenson led the attack.

In the final minute of the first half, Campbell intercepted Jen Falconer's pass and took it the length of the court to even the game up at 25-all, but a Radford layup with six seconds left gave the visitors a 27-25 halftime lead.

After combining to score 52 points in the first half, the offenses for Wake Forest and Radford heated up in the third quarter as the two teams combined to score 45 points in the third frame alone. The Highlanders built an advantage of 13 points late in the third but four consecutive points from Quinn pulled the Deacs within nine headed to the fourth.

The Demon Deacons narrowed the gap to seven on four different occasions in the final quarter before forcing Radford closed out the game from the free throw line.

Elisa Penna fell one rebound shy of matching her career-high as she ended the afternoon with 11.

Wake Forest continues its four-game homestand after exams on Sunday, Dec. 18 against Samford. Tip is set for 2 p.m. in LJVM Coliseum.
