Demon Deacons Look to Bounce Back Against Samford
• Wake Forest will host Samford Sunday, Dec. 18, inside the LJVM Coliseum looking to bounce back from its first home loss of the season last time out.
• This will be the first ever meeting between Wake Forest and Samford. It will be the Deacs' second game against a Southern Conference foe this season after acing Furman on Nov. 23.

Last Time Out
• The Demon Deacons dropped their first home contest of the season, falling to Radford, 68-60, on Saturday, Dec. 10 inside the LJVM Coliseum
Amber Campbell led Wake Forest for the second-straight game as shed finished with 20 points, four steals and three assists. Milan Quinn added 16 points and nine rebonds while Elisa Penna recorded a season-high 11 rebounds, one shy of matching her career-best of 12.
• The defeat moved Wake Forest to 5-1 at home this season. The record is tied for the second-best start to a season in home games only since starting 6-0 to open 2013-14. The Demon Deacons also posted a 5-1 start over their first six home contests in the 2014-15 season.

Scouting The Bulldogs
• Samford enters Sunday's contest with a 5-5 record have are winners of there of its last four games. During the recent streak for the Bulldogs, they have collected home victories over Alabama State, Alabama A&M and UAB. Wake Forest and Samford share one common opponent, as the Bulldogs opened the season at ACC foe Georgia Tech.
• Samford is averaging 57.6 points on the season and make an average of 6.7 3-pointers per game. The Bulldogs are led by Hannah Nichols who averages 14.4 points per game. She is joined in double figures by Kassidy Blevins who is second on the team with 14.0 points per game.
• Samford shares the rebounding duties as no one averages more than 4.7 rebounds per game. Six players bring in at least three boards per contest. Brittany Stevens and Charity Brown have dished out 35 and 31 assists, respectively.

Wake Forest Storylines
• Wake Forest was picked to finish 11th this year in the ACC preseason poll by both the Blue Ribbon Panel and the league's head coaches.
• Prior to losing at Seton Hall, Wake Forest went on its first five-game winning streak since the 2013-14 season when Wake Forest defeated Belmont, UNCW, South Alabama, Florida A&M and FIU in December 2013.
• The current 7-2 start marks the best start to a season under head coach Jen Hoover. The Deacs went 6-1 to start the 2014-15 season, which marked the previous best start. But after the 6-1 start, Wake Forest dropped its next three games in a row.

Next Time Out
• The Demon Deacons will continue their homestand on Wednesday, Dec. 21, as the VCU comes to town for the Deacs' School Day game. Tip-off is set for 11 a.m.
