WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Danny Manning Basketball Camp is taking registrations for the Day Camp, held June 19-22, 2017 and Team Camp, held June 23-24, 2017.
Day Camp is open to kids 2nd through 8th grade. The morning session (8:30am to 12:00 pm) is for grades 2-5, while the afternoon session (1:00pm to 4:30 pm) is for grades 5-8. (5th graders have the option to attend in the morning or the afternoon.) The camp features drills, contests, games, a t-shirt, and great coaches with a 12:1 player/coach ratio.
Team Camp is open to high school varsity and JV teams. Every two-day team is guaranteed at least five games with the option to commute or stay overnight. This camp gives teams the opportunity to challenge themselves against new competition. All games are refereed by NCHSAA certified officials. A championship game will be staged between the 1st and 2nd place teams in each division.
The purpose of the Danny Manning Day Basketball Camp is to teach and develop basketball skills in a fun environment. Coach Manning and his staff will direct the camp.
Everyday drills to improve all parts of the camper's game will be taught. Ball handling, passing, offense without the ball, shooting, rebounding, defense, sportsmanship, teamwork, work ethic, good listening skills are all components of becoming a great player.
