
Beth (Davis) Fagan Named to Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame

NEW CASTLE, Ind. - Former Wake Forest women's basketball standout Beth (Davis) Fagan will be inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame as a part of the 2017 Women's Induction Class, the organization announced Tuesday, Dec. 20.
Fagan played at Wake Forest from 1988-1991 where she totaled 1,172 career points to become the third Demon Deacon in program history to break the 1,000-point threshold. In her three years with the Deacs, she averaged 14.1 points per game, an average that ranks sixth in program history.
Fagan remains among the best free throw shooters in program history. Her 308 career free throws and .792 free throw percentage are fifth-best in Wake Forest history.
While at Wake Forest, Fagan was named a Fast Break Freshman All-American in 1989, Second Team All-ACC in 1990 and was named to the ACC Honor Roll in 1989 and 1991. In 2011, she was named an "ACC Women's Basketball Tournament Legend" joining just 11 other Demon Deacons.
The Greenfield, Indiana native attended Greenfield-Central High School where she totaled 1,617 career points, 695 rebounds and 233 assists. She averaged 22.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per game leading her to First Team All-State honors and a spot on the 1988 Indiana All-Star squad.
The 2017 Induction Class is the 16th class to be inducted by the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 29.
