The Match-Up
• Wake Forest will face Temple in the Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 3:30 p.m. at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium on the campus of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.
• The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. Jason Benetti and Kelly Stouffer will broadcast the game while Paul Carcaterra reports from the sidelines.
• The Military Bowl can also be heard on the Wake Forest Sports Network. Stan Cotten has the call with Dave Goren reporting from the sidelines.

Wake Forest Storylines
• Wake Forest is making its 11th all-time bowl appearance and the Deacons have a 6-4 record in bowl games.
• After 452 consecutive games on the sideline, this will be the final game in an official capacity for Wake Forest's assistant athletic director for football, Bill "Big Daddy" Faircloth.
• This is head coach Dave Clawson's second Military Bowl appearance. He led Bowling Green to the 2012 Military Bowl where the Falcons faced San Jose State but fell, 29-20.

The Opposition & Series History
• Temple will be led in the Military Bowl by interim head coach Ed Foley. Foley assumed the interim role after Temple head coach Matt Rhule was named the head coach at Baylor.
• Foley has deep ties with Dave Clawson dating back to their days together at Albany in 1989-90.
• Wake Forest and Temple will meet for just the second time in history. The Owls scored a 36-0 victory over the visiting Deacons on Oct. 31, 1930.

Looking Ahead
• National Signing Day is set for Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017.
• Wake Forest will start spring practice on Feb. 28, 2017.
• The annual Spring Game is set for Saturday, April 8, 2017.
• The Deacons open the 2017 season with Presbyterian on Aug. 31.
