WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Clemson ended the game on a 15-0 run, turning a 68-58 deficit into a 73-68 victory over Wake Forest at the LJVM Coliseum on Saturday afternoon.
John Collins led the Demon Deacons (9-5, 0-2 ACC) with his fourth 20-point game, finishing with 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting and added seven rebounds and two blocks.
Bryant Crawford added 16 points, a career-high eight rebounds and four assists, while Keyshawn Woods totaled 16 points and five boards.
Marcquise Reed led the Tigers (11-2, 1-0 ACC) with 21 points, 17 of them coming in the second half, including a trio of 3-pointers.
Wake Forest built its lead up to a game-high 13 points with a 10-0 run, capped off by a triple by Woods at the 7:01 mark before the Tigers finished on a 20-4 run.
The Deacs went cold at an untimely stretch, though, finishing the game 0-for-9 shooting, also turning it over twice in the final two minutes.
Wake Forest went 10-for-11 (90.9 percent) from the charity stripe compared to 11-of-20 (55.0 percent) for Clemson. The Tigers, however, went 6-of-10 from long range in the second half after just a 2-for-10 first-half effort.
