DEACS HOST CHARLOTTE IN BATTLE OF 6-2 SQUADS
• Wake Forest plays the only home game during a span of four-of-five games on the road as it hosts Charlotte Tuesday night
• The Deacs have won 10 straight games against in-state non-conference foes
• The 49ers are the seventh opponent of the last eight to enter the game with a winning record
SERIES HISTORY
• Wake Forest leads the all-time series 5-2, including a 2-1 mark in Winston-Salem
• The teams last met in 2006-07, a 63-59 victory for the 49ers in Charlotte
• The Deacs won the only previous matchup at the LJVM Coliseum, 59-56, in 2005-06

ALL-STAR COACHING MATCHUP
• Tonight's game features a matchup of coaches (Danny Manning and Mark Price) who not only both played in the NBA, but were opponents in the 1993 and 1994 NBA All-Star Games
• It marks just the third time in college basketball history that a game has featured opposing head coaches who had appeared in the same NBA All-Star Game during their playing career
• Danny Manning has been involved in two of the three contests, as the last occurrence was in 2013-14 when Manning's Tulsa squad recorded a 66-65 win over Grand Canyon, led by Dan Majerle, a teammate of Manning on the West squad in the 1993 All-Star Game
• The other previous game was in 1956 as La Salle (led by Jim Pollard) played West Virginia (led by Fred Schaus), after Pollard and Schaus were teammates on the West team in the first ever NBA All-Star Game in 1951
• Manning played in two NBA All-Star Games (1993, 1994) during his 15-year career, while Price played in four (1989, 1992-94) over his 12-year career
THE NEW SCHOOL vs. THE OLD SCHOOL
• Wake Forest sophomore guard Keyshawn Woods will play tonight against Charlotte, where he played his freshman season in 2014-15
• Woods will become the first Demon Deacon transfer to ever play against his previous school
• Woods averaged 8.4 points during his one season for the 49ers, leading Conference USA in 3-point shooting at 46.6 percent
UP NEXT
• Wake Forest will return to the road Friday for its shortest trip of the season, playing UNCG at the Greensboro Coliseum
• The Deacs are 9-0 all-time against the Spartans, including a 2-0 record at the Coliseum
