Wake Forest Coach Danny Manning

Opening Statement...
"I thought this afternoon's game was a very good sign for our team. We dealt with some adversity a few days ago. We've always had the next-man up mentality. We got a great contribution from a lot of guys across the board. I was telling Stan (Cotten) after the game in the post-game interview, this is the best I've ever seen him play. Practice, high school, AAU--this is the best basketball I've ever seen him play for a 20 minute stretch. I'm very happy for him because he's worked hard in practice and has continued to stay after it. He came out and got us off to a good start. I thought the floor game that Codi (Miller-McIntyre) and Bryant (Crawford) played was very good as well. I just thought it was a really good team win. A lot of guys contributed and a lot of guys had great mind sets coming into the game. Since we got dealt our adversity a few days ago, we've had some pretty good practices. This afternoon was a chance for our guys to come out and play well. This is a good win for us in terms of giving us some momentum going into our next game. We need to be playing the best basketball that we can possibly be playing once we start ACC Tournament."

On the adversity earlier this week...
"Based upon the last two days of practice I thought we were going to come in with a great mindset and have some energy and effort about us. We certainly had that. As a staff, we're very happy with the guys, but we want to see this every time we step out on the court, the effort and energy. All in all, I thought this was a game for us where we did some really good things and it's something that we can really build upon. I don't think you become a real team until you go through some adversity. Adversity comes in all types. We happened to have ours with the suspensions we're going through and the dismissal."

On freshman Doral Moore...
"He's playing harder now than he did when he first got here. He has not played against guys his size on a regular basis day-in and day-out. Not only players his size, but players that are just as strong and jump just as high. It's an adjustment a lot of times for big guys. Guards always play up against guards that are quick, that are fast, that can do certain things with the basketball, but a lot of times for big guys they don't get the chance to bang and compete up against guys their size throughout their high school and AAU career on an every-possession basis. I thought he took advantage of his opportunity today. I thought what he did in 20 minutes was very good, but the game is 40 minutes. This was a great 20 minutes out of him. He had his work cut out for him trying to guard (Dennis) Clifford."

Boston College Head Coach Jim Christian

Opening statement...
"I think the whole story can be told in the first possession. We won the tip. They didn't match up, so we had a wide-open three. We missed it, got a rebound, got a layup, missed it and that was probably the game right there. That's pretty much the story for the entire game. For whatever reason, we didn't come to play. I'm embarrassed. We've been playing much better than that. The last three games we played were probably the three best games we've played all year and we were awful in all facets (tonight). I'm not taking anything away from them--I thought they were great. I knew they would come to play. We just didn't come to play the way we're capable of playing."

On Boston College's shooting from the field...
"I think that's the worst shooting game I've ever seen, without question, this year."

On playing a team going through adversity...
"Both teams were facing adversity. Someone had to come play tonight. It was them. Tip your hat to them. That always happens when something like that happens. Other guys rally around and play hard. Guys get opportunities, and I thought they took advantage of their opportunities. Obviously (Doral) Moore took advantage of a huge opportunity and played tremendously well. Their whole team played well. I can't single one guy out."

On the play of Wake Forest freshman Doral Moore...
"I knew that in the minutes that he's had, he's such a presence at the rim. He showed a much better offensive game than he had been showing, with just what I've watched on film. He hit a couple of deep jump hooks. Those were NBA-level lane jump-hooks. He's a very active offensive player. Their perimeter guys are always very good and aggressive, but he was very active right from the beginning of the game."

Wake Forest Freshman Center Doral Moore

On his approach to this game...
"I just played active and had fun while I was out there. You can't think too much about it, you just have to go out there and have fun."

On his first career start...
"Late this morning, Coach (Danny Manning) told me I was going to start this game. My thought was I was going to play the same way whether I came off the bench or started. I'm still the same player. I'm a competitor regardless, so it doesn't matter to me if I start or not, as long as I get a little playing time. As long as I'm successful and I play active and play good defense, that's all that matters."

Wake Forest Freshman Forward John Collins

On the win over Boston College...
"It feels really good for us to come together and get a team win like that, especially to have one of our guys (Doral Moore) play the way he did. It was a great team win."

On the 42-point performance by the freshmen...
"It was definitely some motivation for us. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going into the next game. It definitely gives us a big amount of confidence. It boosts the team morale and gets everyone happy, so I think it's great in every aspect."

Wake Forest Senior Guard Codi Miller-McIntyre

On snapping an 11-game losing streak...
"It's a good feeling, but it's also frustrating because it shouldn't take that long of a losing streak for us to come out on top. We have to keep it up. We have three games left in the regular season and we need these three wins to go in to the ACC Tournament with as much confidence and momentum as possible."

On the play of freshman Doral Moore...
"It's definitely a good feeling to see Doral (Moore) come in and start and get the stat line he got in 20 minutes. That's impressive and he played with great energy."
