WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- A pair of Wake Forest football players signed free agent contracts this weekend following the conclusion of the 2016 NFL Draft. Linebacker Brandon Chubb signed with the Los Angeles Rams while wide receiver K.J. Brent is going to the Oakland Raiders.

Chubb was a three-year starter at linebacker for Wake Forest and finished his career with 328 tackles, the 10th-highest total in school history. A first team All-ACC choice by both the coaches and the media, Chubb was named the Pop Warner College Football Player of the Year in 2015.

Brent was a graduate transfer from the University of South Carolina who started 11 of 12 games for the Demon Deacons in 2015. Brent had 42 receptions for 583 yards last fall and one touchdown.

In addition, Tylor Harris and Zach Dancel have been invited to mini camp, as Harris will attend camp with the Seattle Seahawks and Dancel will be with the Green Bay Packers. Dylan Intemann has also earned an invite to a free agent tryout with the New York Giants on Thursday, May 5.

Two other Wake Forest seniors have worked out for NFL teams and could sign as a free agent in the coming days. Those include punter Alexander Kinal and linebacker Hunter Williams.
