WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- With professional soccer in full swing, 20 former Demon Deacons are currently in action professionally. Take a look at how each of them has done this season for their team.
MLS
Brian Carroll -- Philadelphia Union
Brian Carroll has appeared in 15 games this season while making 14 starts for the Philadelphia Union. His one goal thus far came against the Colorado Rapids and it was a big one, scoring in stoppage time (90+2) on May 28 to salvage a crucial draw for the Union. The strike came just five minutes after fellow Demon Deacon Sam Cronin scored to put the Rapids ahead 1-0 just five minutes prior. Also during the 2016 season, Carroll has broken the team's record for most appearances and became only the eighth player in MLS history to break the 350 appearance mark.
Sam Cronin -- Colorado Rapids
Sam Cronin has started 16 games for the Rapids in 2016 but has come on of late with a goal and an assist in his last three games. Overall, he has notched one goal with two assists on the season. In those 16 games, Cronin has played the full 90 minutes for the squad in each contest. He scored his lone goal thus far on May 28 against the Philadelphia Union. The goal, which came in the 87th minute, put the Rapids ahead 1-0, but fellow Wake Forest alum Brian Carroll scored the equalizer in stoppage time to knot the game at 1-1. One of his two assists came on June 18, when he set up Marco Pappa in the 89th minute for the game-winner against the Chicago Fire.
Chris Duvall -- New York Red Bulls
Chris Duvall has appeared in 12 games this year for the New York Red Bulls, having started eight of them. As a defender, Duvall has taken three shots on the season. Last time out on June 25, Duvall started and went the full 90 minutes as his side drew 1-1 with the Columbus Crew.
Jack Harrison -- NYCFC
After being selected No. 1 overall in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft in January 2016, Jack Harrison has cracked the NYCFC starting lineup after missing more than two months at the start of the season with an injury. Since, though, Harrison has one goal and one assist while making three starts in four appearances since May 21. The former Deacon scored his first-career professional goal against Real Salt Lake on June 2, a 3-2 loss for NYCFC. He later assisted on David Villa's MLS-leading 11th goal of the season as the squad topped the Philadelphia Union 3-2 on June 18.
Collin Martin -- D.C. United
Martin has yet to see any time in 2016 playing for D.C. United. After his freshman season at Wake Forest in 2012, Martin has played with both D.C. United and the Richmond Kickers.
Ike Opara -- Sporting Kansas City

Back on April 9, Opara made his season debut as a first-half sub and helped Sporting KC to a 2-0 shutout of the New York Red Bulls. In just 49 minutes of action on the day, Opara became the first MLS player in 2016 to have eight interceptions, five clearances and four tackles in a game. For his efforts, he earned a start next time out against the Colorado Rapids on April 13.

Next time out on June 25, Robinson earned his first start and went the full 90 minutes for D.C. United in a 2-0 victory over the New England Revolution. The appearances came after Robinson spent time earlier this year with the Richmond Kickers, making two starts for the team.
