Teegarden Picked to Preseason All-ACC Squad

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Sarah Teegarden was selected to the preseason All-ACC team and Wake Forest was picked to finish ninth in a vote of the league's 14 head coaches on Thursday afternoon.
A second-year team captain, Teegarden has started all 57 games in her three-year career. Last year, the midfielder tallied six points on two goals and two assists in 19 contests.
After finishing in a tie for 12th a year ago, the league coaches expect the Deacons to rebound in 2016. Top-ranked Florida State led the way in the poll with 191 points and nine first-place votes, followed by Virginia, Duke, North Carolina, Clemson, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech, all ranked in the NSCAA preseason top 20. Then, Boston College - receiving votes in the national poll - is eighth, followed by the Demon Deacons in ninth.
Wake Forest is one of seven teams represented on the preseason All-ACC team.
