DEACS OPEN 2017 BY HOSTING BOSTON COLLEGE
• Wake Forest plays its first game of the new year by hosting Boston College
• The Demon Deacons are looking to snap their first two-game losing streak of the season
• BC is the 13th opponent of the last 14 for the Deacs to enter the game with a winning record
SERIES HISTORY
• Boston College leads the all-time series 12-7 (BC leads 9-7 as ACC foes)
• Wake Forest leads 5-4 in Winston-Salem, including 5-3 at the LJVM Coliseum
• The Deacs won last year's meeting 74-48 in Winston-Salem as Doral Moore scored a career-high 19 points in his first career start
• The game had the largest margin of victory for the Demon Deacons in 2015-16
LAST TIME OUT
• Wake Forest suffered a 73-68 loss to Clemson Saturday as the Tigers ended the game on a 15-0 run
• John Collins led Wake Forest with 20 points, his fourth career 20-point game (all this season) and his first against an ACC opponent
• The loss snapped a five-game home win streak for the Deacs
YOUTH WILL BE SERVED
• Of the 13 scholarship players on the 2016-17 roster, eight are either freshmen or sophomores
• Only two players on the roster have senior eligibility, Trent VanHorn and graduate student Austin Arians
• The Demon Deacons rank 268th nationally in experience (KenPom), which is 13th in the ACC (only Florida State and NC State are below)
• Wake Forest's top three scorers are all underclassmen (Fr. or So.), a feat the Deacs haven't accomplished since 2008-09 (Jeff Teague, Al-Farouq Aminu, James Johnson)

• The Demon Deacons visit No. 11 Virginia on Sunday night
• It will be fourth ranked opponent Wake Forest will play this season, all away from home
• The Cavaliers won last year's meeting in Winston-Salem, 72-71, as Darius Thompson made a game-winning three-pointer as time expired
