The Matchup
• No. 21 Wake Forest wraps up the regular season Thursday when the team welcomes Miami to Spry Stadium for a 7 p.m. game, which will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.

Last Time Out
• Wake Forest fell to Clemson, 2-1, in the regular season road finale on Sunday, Oct. 22.
Kahla Seymour recorded the lone goal for the Deacs, her first of the season and third of her career.

Wake Forest Storylines
• Wake Forest women's soccer debuted in the national rankings for the first time since 2014 the week of Aug. 28 after starting the season 4-0-0. Currently, the Demon Deacons are ranked No. 21 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, No. 16 in the Soccer America poll and No. 17 in the TopDrawerSoccer poll. The Deacs also debuted at No. 15 in the NCAA RPI and moved to No. 33 this week.
• The Demon Deacon defense is among the best in the conference. Wake Forest's 0.68 GAA is fifth in the league while the 12 goals allowed is tied for fourth. The Deacs' nine shutouts are tied for third in the league. Lindsay Preston sits fifth in the conference with her .806 save percentage while her 0.71 goals against average is fourth in the ACC.
• The Deacs are currently 4-3-2 in conference play, the most victories since 2013 when they tallied five ACC wins.
• Wake Forest finished the 2016 slate with seven regular-season shutout victories, just three shy of the program record of 10 set in 2006 and 2009. The Demon Deacons have recorded six shutout victories this season through 17 games and have recorded nine total shutouts this season, the most since they also recorded nine in 2012.
• Last season, the Deacs were 5-6-0 in one-goal games. This season, Wake Forest holds a 5-2-0 record in one-goal games.

Scouting the Hurricanes
• The Hurricanes come into Thursday's game having never won a contest at Spry Stadium. The Deacs hold a 10-3-0 series advantage, and a 3-2-0 edge in the past five meetings.
• Miami is 1-8-0 in conference play this season, with the lone win coming in a 3-0 victory over Pitt.
• Senior Ronnie Johnson leads the Hurricanes with 11 points on four goals and three assists this season. Sophomore Kristina Fisher is right behind her with nine points (2 g, 5a).
• Redshirt junior keeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce holds all decisions in goal. She has recorded 81 saves and a .810 save percentage while earning four shutouts.

• If the Deacs finish with at least a tie against the Hurricanes, they can earn between the fourth and seventh seed in the ACC Tournament, depending on other results. ACC Tournament play begins Sunday, Oct. 29.
