The Matchup
• Top-ranked Wake Forest closes out the regular season on Friday night, playing host to Syracuse at 7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
• The Demon Deacons are also celebrating Senior Day and will honor Luis Argudo, Jon Bakero, Steven Echevarria, Rafael Fagundo and Kevin Politz before the game.

Last Time Out
• The Deacons pushed their winning streak to 12 games, longest since 18 straight from the end of 2007 to the start of 2008, knocking off Boston College, 4-0, to clinch the ACC Atlantic Division title and top seed in the upcoming ACC Tournament.
Omir Fernandez had the best game of his young career. He recorded Wake Forest's first two goals, including the game-winner, and added an assist for five points.
Justin McMaster and Ema Twumasi also found the back of the net.

Wake Forest Storylines
• Wake Forest can lock up the first 8-0-0 conference record in ACC history with a win Friday. No team has finished undefeated and untied in ACC play since Virginia went 6-0-0 in 2001.
• The Demon Deacons have one of the most prolific offenses in the nation to date this season. Wake Forest ranks atop the nation with 50 goals, 158 points and 58 assists, also ranking second in shots on goal per game and third in corners per game.
• Last year, the Deacs finished with 36 goals scored in 25 games. Wake Forest surpassed that total in 13 games this year.
• Six Demon Deacons have already totaled at least 10 points after four did so all last year: Jon Bakero (35 pts - 11g, 13a), Ema Twumsai (23 pts - 9g, 5a), Luis Argudo (21 pts - 8g, 5a), Omir Fernandez (15 pts - 5g, 5a), Brandon Servania (13 pts - 2g, 9a) and Steven Echevarria (11 pts - 4g, 3a). Bakero leads the nation in points and assists, ranking 10th in goals.
• Bakero was picked as one of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award. Jacori Hayes won the national honor in 2016.

Opponent And Series History
• Wake Forest leads the all-time series against Syracuse, 3-1-1. At Spry Stadium, the Deacs are 3-0-0 and have outscored the Orange, 11-2.
• After going unbeaten through their first six games and being ranked as high as No. 7 nationally, the Orange are just 2-8 over the last 10 games.
• Johannes Pieles and Jonathan Hagman lead Syracuse with five goals apiece.
