Deacs Hit the Road
• Wake Forest hits the road for the first time this season and kicks off a five-game road trip on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at Richmond.
• Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside the Robins Center.
Wake Forest Storylines
• Sophomore Tyra Whitehead made her first-career start in the season opener against Texas Southern and did not disappoint. Whitehead finished 9-of-10 from the field and scored a career-high 23 points. She then followed with a doubles-double, the first of her career, against Seton Hall with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
• Head coach Jen Hoover is closing in on her 100th career victory. Following the season-opening victory against Texas Southern, Hoover now has 95 career victories, 74 of which have come at the helm of the Demon Deacons.
• Elisa Penna was named preseason All-ACC by the league's coaches after leading the team in scoring (13.4 ppg) and finishing third on the team in rebounds (5.7 rpg) a season ago.
Last Time out
• The Demon Deacons fell to 1-1 on the year with a 67-57 defeat to Seton Hall on Sunday, Nov. 12.
• Amber Campbell scored a team-high 17 points to move in 18th place on the all-time scoring list with 1,191 career points.
• Tyra Whitehead added her first-career double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds in the effort.
• Alex Sharp had her first double-digit game of the season, and 10th of her career, with 13 points.
Scouting The Opponent
• Richmond enters Wednesday's contest 2-0 after defeating Fairfield and Columbia on the road this past weekend.
Next Time Out
• The Deacs head to New Jersey on Sunday, Nov. 19, to take on Rutgers. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
