Deacs Close Out Nonconference Play
The Wake Forest women's basketball team closes out nonconference play on Thursday, Dec. 21 on the road at the College of Charleston. Tip-off is set for 12 p.m. inside TD Arena.
The Deacs are looking to notch their sixth victory in a row, which would be the longest winning streak since a six-game streak to begin the 2009-2010 season.
Thursday's game will be a trip home for Wake Forest's Charleston native, Amber Campbell, the team's lone senior.
Last Time Out
The Demon Deacons won their fifth consecutive game with a thrilling 71-69 victory over Charlotte in the Deacs' annual School Day game. The program set a new single-game attendance record, as 10,011 fans were in attendance.
Ariel Stephenson got the game-winning layup to fall with 2.8 seconds remaining to seal the win.
Wake Forest Storylines
Senior Amber Campbell continues her rise up the Wake Forest scoring charts as she currently ranks 12th all-time in program history with 1,293 career points.
The Deacs have outrebounded their opponent 8-of-12 games to start the season and rank first in the league and 13th nationally with 17 offensive rebounds per game. Their 494 total rebounds are 13th-best in the country.
The team tied a program record with 12 blocks against Appalachian State on Dec. 7. Wake Forest's 66 total blocks are second-best in the ACC and 10th in the country.
Scouting The Opponent
College of Charleston is 4-6 on the season following a 59-51 victory over Wofford Monday evening for the Cougars' second win in a row.
Tanisha Brown leads the Cougars in both scoring (14.9) and rebounding (7.6).

The Demon Deacons open ACC plan and close out the 2017 calendar year on Sunday, Dec. 31, at home against Notre Dame. The New Year's Eve tip is set for 1 p.m. and will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
