
Deacs in Contention After Day One in Hawaii

HONOLULU, Hawaii – The Wake Forest women's golf team opened play Tuesday with the first two rounds of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational on the island of Oahu. The Deacs have three individuals competing in the tournament, including two in the top 10 after 36 holes.
Jennifer Kupcho is tied for third at 3-under after posting rounds of 70 and 71 on Tuesday. Sierra Sims is tied for seventh at 2-under after rounds of 68 and 74. Erica Herr, the third Deac in the field, is tied for 25th at 3-over through two rounds.
The tournament concludes with the final round of play at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course on Wednesday.
