
Kupcho Finishes Runner-Up in Hawaii

HONOLULU, Hawaii – The Wake Forest women's golf team concluded play Wednesday in Hawaii with the final round of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational on the island of Oahu. Jennifer Kupcho and Sierra Sims each posted top-10 individual finishes to lead a trio of Demon Deacons playing the event.
Kupcho finished runner-up at 5-under, her fourth top-five finish in seven events this season. She finished the tournament with a final round 70, shooting under par for all three rounds.
Sims had her fifth top-10 finish of the season, ending the tournament in a tie for ninth at 1-under. She shot a final round 73 on Wednesday.
Erica Herr finished T-26th at 6-over after a final round 75.
"Our students played very well, with Jennifer and Sierra both in the top 10," said head coach Dianne Dailey. "Erica also played solidly. This week gave us a lot of confidence for the future. It was a good week."
The Demon Deacons return to action Mar. 31-Apr. 2 with the Bryan National Collegiate, an event they co-host with UNCG at Bryan Park in Greensboro.
