Deacs to Compete in Three Meets This Weekend

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's and women's track and field programs will split up for three competitions this weekend. The Demon Deacons will be represented in the Stanford Invitational, the Pepsi Florida Relays and High Point's VertKlasse Meeting.
Kathryn Lazarchick and Ellie Abrahamson will compete for the Deacs at the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, Calif., held March 31 - April 1. Lazarchick will compete in the women's 1500m Run while Abrahamson will compete in the 3000m Steeplechase and the 5000m Run. All three events will be held Friday evening.
Eight Demon Deacons will head south for the Pepsi Florida Relays, held March 30 - April 1. Elijah Shalaway, Casidy Howard, Charlie Ionata and Max Adams are entered in the field events while Robert Heppenstall, Angelos Vasileiou, Sebastian Fischbach and Mitchell Dyer will compete on the track.
Thirty student-athletes will compete in High Point's VertKlasse Meeting March 31 - April 1. Competition begins at 10 a.m. on Friday and will run through approximately 8 p.m. The meet will start back up Saturday at 9 a.m.
After this weekend, the Deacs will take a break before returning to competition in the Charlotte Invitational April 14-15.
