DEACS TRAVEL TO GEORGIA FOR NCAA REGIONAL
• Wake Forest will compete at the 2017 Athens Regional, hosted at the University of Georgia Golf Course
• The Deacs are looking for a top-six finish that would qualify them for the NCAA Championships, held later this month in Sugar Grove, Ill.
NCAA REGIONAL HISTORY
• Wake Forest has qualified for and has been selected to the NCAA Regionals every year since the NCAA switched to the regional format in 1993
• Out of the Demon Deacons' 24 previous appearances at the NCAA Regionals, Wake has advanced on to the NCAA Championships 14 times, including six out of the last 11 seasons
• Wake Forest won the East Regional in both 1994 and 1995, overcoming three-shot deficits on the final day in both tournaments
• Last season, the Deacs finished eighth at the Stanford Regional, but Jennifer Kupcho advanced as an individual to the NCAA Championships, where she finished sixth
SEASON RECAP
• Wake Forest enters the NCAA Regional ranked No. 22 in the Golfstat Rankings
• The Demon Deacons were ranked as high as No. 11 by Golfstat this season
• Wake Forest won the Lady Tar Heel Invitational in October, its first win since 2014
• The Deacs tied for the win at the Landfall Tradition, but lost the title on a scorecard playoff
• Wake Forest set a school 54-hole scoring record at 13-under at the Cougar Classic

• Both Jennifer Kupcho and Sierra Sims are on pace to break the Wake Forest single season scoring record, set by Sims in 2014-15 (73.09)
• Kupcho enters the tournament with an average of 70.60, while Sims is at 72.04
KUPCHO STARS
• Jennifer Kupcho was named Wake Forest's 2016-17 Female Athlete of the Year
• Kupcho has two victories this season (Lady Tar Heel and Landfall Tradition), the first Demon Deacon since Natalie Sheary in 2008-09 to win twice in a season
• She ended the fall season ranked No. 1 in the Golfstat individual rankings
• Kupcho was the ACC Player of the Month in October
