Sims Named to All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest senior golfer Sierra Sims was named to the 2017 All-ACC Academic Women's Golf Team on Monday (June 26). With the honor, Sims becomes a two-time member of the squad.
To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic team, a student-athlete, regardless of classification, must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
Sims concluded her collegiate career in 2016-17 by being named to the All-ACC team and earning honorable mention All-America honors. Her stroke average of 72.20 was the second-best in school history as she posted seven top-10 finishes. Of her 30 rounds this season, 15 were under or at par.
Sims, who was also named to the All-ACC Academic Team in 2014-15 as a sophomore, graduated from Wake Forest in May with a degree in Economics. She made her professional debut in June on the Symetra Tour.
