Hayes Announces 2017 Cross Country Schedule

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest director of track & field and cross country John Hayes announced the 2017 men's and women's cross country schedules on Tuesday (June 27). The schedules include eight competitions leading up to the NCAA Cross Country Championships on November 18.
Wake Forest opens the season at the Charlotte Preview on Friday, Sept. 1 before heading to Cary, North Carolina for the Adidas Cross Country Challenge on Sept.15. The Deacs then travel to Lehigh, Pennsylvania for the Paul Short Run on Sept. 29 before returning to Charlotte for the Royals Challenge on Oct. 6.
The Pre-National Invitational will be held in Louisville, Kentucky on Oct. 14. Louisville will also host the 2017 ACC Cross Country Championships on Oct. 27.
The Deacs will then compete at a late-season meet in the Three Stripe Invite on Nov. 4 in Cary, North Carolina.
Depending on results from the season, the NCAA Southeast Region Championships will take place Nov. 10 in Charlottesville, Virginia while the NCAA Cross Country Championships will be held Nov. 18 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
