GREENSBORO, N.C. – Maddie Huster was named the ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday (Aug. 29).

Huster shares the award with Virginia's Taylor Ziemer.

The midfielder from Cincinnati, Ohio earned the award for her efforts in Wake Forest's upset victory over No. 3 South Carolina on Aug. 24. Huster put the Demon Deacons on the board with a penalty kick in just the third minute of competition against the Gamecocks. She later tallied the assist on the game-tying goal in the 51st minute.

Huster also played 66 minutes in the 3-0 shutout over Charlotte on Aug. 27, the Deacs' third shutout of the season.

Huster is currently second on the team with her five points on two goals and an assist. The senior has started all four contests for the Demon Deacons and sits third on the team in minutes with 321. She has taken three shots this season, all of which have been on goal.

Last season, Huster earned ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors for her efforts against Boston College on Oct. 15.

The Demon Deacons are back in action Friday, Sept. 1 when they play George Mason in Fairfax, Virginia before returning home to face Princeton on Sept. 3.
