Tickets are on sale now and available for purchase by clicking HERE. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for youths/Ssniors (55+), and $3 for college students. Children under the age of 3 do not require a ticket for entry. Seating on Walt Chyzowych Alumni Hill will require a ticket for the NCAA Tournament.
"I'm just happy to be in the NCAA Tournament with an opportunity to compete for a National Championship," head coach Bobby Muuss said. "I think we learned a long time ago that no matter what your seed is, you're going to have difficult opponents. We're just fortunate to know that if we play well and advance, we'll get to stay at home at Spry Stadium in front of our fans."
Wake Forest received the No. 1 overall seed for the third time out of the last four seasons.
New Hampshire will host the opening round game. The Wildcats won the America East Tournament by shutting out UMBC, 5-0, and will enter with a 12-3-2 overall record.
Colgate claimed the Patriot League title over Army, 1-0, on Sunday. The Raiders are 12-4-5 overall, and went undefeated against the two ACC foes they played this year, beating Pitt and tying Syracuse.
"Both those teams, although in mid-major conferences, have played a really good schedule this year as well and have great success against those teams," Muuss added. "We'll have our hands full."
Nine of the 12 ACC programs were selected, tying the conference's own record. Other seeded ACC teams include No. 4 Louisville, No. 5 North Carolina, No. 6 Duke, No. 7 Notre Dame, No. 10 Virginia, No. 12 Virginia Tech and No. 16 Syracuse. NC State is the only ACC team to play in the first round.
