Wake Forest to Celebrate 50 Years of BB&T Field

Wake Forest Athletics invites fans to join in the celebration of 50 years of Demon Deacon football at BB&T Field

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest Athletics invites fans to join in the celebration of 50 years of Demon Deacon football at BB&T Field this season. Fans will enjoy a host of special features this season as they cheer on the Deacs!
A commemorative mark has been created to tie-together the year long campaign. The mark will adorn the field, banners around the stadium, 3D graphics for the videoboard as well as all collateral promoting the 2018 season including the t-shirts launched into the crowd at each game.
Use the hashtag #BBTField50 in conjunction with #GoDeacs hashtag when you share your favorite memories from past games at BB&T Field. Fans are encouraged to share their favorite photos from the past on social media using the hashtags with select photos featured on the videoboard at each contest this season.
Each game will feature "Unrivaled Moments at BB&T Field" as well. The video montage will spotlight the top moments and games in the stadium's history and is sure to evoke great memories for longtime Deacon fans.
Fans will enjoy reductions in pricing on bottled water and fountain soft drinks for all home games and a commemorative cup design for souvenir fountain drinks as well. Plus, additional 50th anniversary concession pricing discounts will be available for select items on a game-by-game basis beginning with $3 Nachos for the Family Weekend matchup vs. Rice (Sept. 29, 3:30 pm) and $2 Soft Pretzels for the Homecoming showdown with Syracuse (Nov. 3).
Inside each week's game program, the fold out poster will feature current Demon Deacon football student-athletes in a design style taken from game program covers over the previous 5 decades.
The November 3rd Homecoming tilt against Syracuse will see a targeted "retro" theme as fans are encouraged to wear their oldest Wake Forest gear to cheer on the Deacs. Graphics leading up to the contest will be changed to a 1968 "Big Gold Country" theme, a nod to the program cover from the Inaugural Season. In keeping with the theme, a display of classic cars from the 1960s and 70s wil be on-display outside of BB&T Field as well.
