Elisa Penna Out Indefinitely with Injury

Senior forward Elisa Penna is out indefinitely with a knee injury
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest women's basketball coach Jen Hoover announced Wednesday (Jan. 30) that senior forward Elisa Penna will be out indefinitely with a knee injury.
Penna, a native of Bergamo, Italy, will travel back home on Thursday (Jan. 31) to be evaluated by her doctors. A determination on a course of treatment and a timeline for recovery will be established following the evaluation.
Penna has missed the last three games with the injury and departed competition as Wake Forest's leading scorer, averaging 15.3 points per game. She currently ranks 13th on Wake Forest's all-time scoring list with 1,269 career points.
Wake Forest returns to action this Thursday, playing host to No. 7 N.C. State at 7 p.m. inside the LJVM Coliseum.
