Best routes for football traffic to BB&T Field on Saturday, Oct. 12
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Saturdays are always busy days at the Dixie Classic Fair, so when Wake Forest football plays Louisville at 7:30 p.m. at BB&T Field on Saturday, October 12, Demon Deacon fans need to know the best routes to the stadium in order to avoid any delays.
First, plan to arrive early and take advantage of the "I'm A Fan Zone" which will feature live music from the "B" String Allstars starting at 4:30 p.m. General parking lots will open at 8 a.m. and parking will be available at the LJVM Coliseum for $20 per car and $60 for buses and RVs. Football pass parking lots will open at 1 p.m. including the Blue, Gold, Red and Orange lots.
In order to make getting to BB&T Field as easy as possible, Wake Forest is expanding the parking options by adding a remote parking lot with shuttle service at Winston-Salem First Church on University Parkway (1142 Long Road). Deacon fans can easily pull into the church parking lot and a shuttle will drop you off in front of the LJVM Coliseum. The first shuttle begins running at 11:30 a.m. with the last shuttle running until 11:30 p.m. During peak times, Wake Forest will have eight shuttle buses running simultaneously in order to provide the best customer service to fans. Shuttle parking is just $10 per car and there is no extra charge for the shuttle.
Winston-Salem residents who are not planning to attend the football game or the Dixie Classic Fair, should use alternate routes in order to avoid the Coliseum/BB&T Field/Fairgrounds area on Saturday.
