WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest Athletics will host Black & Gold Madness, your first look at the 2019-20 Demon Deacon men's and women's basketball teams in a fun, fast-paced event slated for Thursday, October 17 inside Reynolds Gymnasium on the Wake Forest campus.  The event is free and open to the public but limited to the first 1,000 attendees. Doors will open at 7:00 pm.

The event will feature introductions of both squads, music from DJ HEK YEH, free t-shirts, koozies and glow-in-the-dark giveaways.  Students will have a unique opportunity to interact with both teams during the event and participate in a 3-point shooting contest, on-court skills challenge and as judges for the men's basketball dunk contest.  Those participating have the opportunity to win season parking passes or courtside seats to a game this season as well!

"Our teams are excited to host Black and Gold Madness," said men's head coach Danny Manning. "It will be a great opportunity for our fans, especially the students, to interact with our players in a fun, energetic environment."

"As the upcoming season approaches, this event provides a chance for our fans to meet this year's team and build the anticipation for our season-opener in a few weeks," added women's head coach Jennifer Hoover.

The Wake Forest cheer and dance teams will perform as well as the Wake Forest Marching Band drumline.  At the end of the event, all those in attendance will also have the chance to be 'extras' in the filming of portions of the men's basketball intro video as well.

Tickets are on-sale now for the 2019-20 season, by calling 336-758-3322 or online at GoDeacs.com.
