The next installment of Wake Forest's home Big 4 rivalry series is almost here! The Demon Deacons take on NC State Saturday, Nov. 2 at noon at BB&T Field. Tickets remain available by clicking HERE.
The Demon Deacons are ranked No. 22 in the nation in this week's Amway Coaches Poll and No. 23 in the Associated Press poll. Wake Forest has already earned bowl eligibility for a school record fourth consecutive season. This season marks the first time since 1921 that Wake Forest has had each of the Big 4 rivals at home, and the first time that North Carolina, NC State and Duke have visited Winston-Salem in the same season. The Deacons started the rivalry series on the right foot with a 24-18 win over the Tar Heels on Sept. 13. Next up is NC State this Saturday as the Deacons and Wolfpack own the longest continuously played rivalry in the ACC. This will be meeting No. 113 and it marks the 109th consecutive year that the two rivals have met.
Since the start of the 2001 season, Wake Forest has gone 41-18 against in-state rivals.
While the game promises to be a thriller, there's plenty of more going on around BB&T Field that will keep every member of the family occupied all day long.
The "I'm A Fan Zone" will open at 9:30 am and this week's band is Men In Black. Located outside of Gate 1 and surrounding the Deacon Statue on the West side of BB&T Field, the "I'm A Fan Zone" will be filled with a number of food and entertainment opportunities including the Lowes Foods Beer Den, food trucks, inflatable games for kids along with giveaways, a pep rally, and the opportunity to ring Wake Forest's Victory Bell. The Demon Deacons will hold their Deacon Walk through the I'm A Fan Zone from 9:30- 9:45 a.m. as the team makes its way to the locker room to prepare to take on the Wolfpack at 12:00 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN.
