More offensive firepower
Running back Ahmani Marshall and wide receiver Ke'Shawn Williams became the ninth and 10th additions to the offensive side of the ball. Marshall, a local product from Kernersville, N.C., rushed for 668 yards and eight touchdowns in five games in 2019 before his season was cut short due to injury. Williams comes to Wake Forest after back-to-back double-digit touchdown seasons. He capped off his high school career with 58 receptions for 889 yards and 13 touchdowns this season.
Sandwiched in between the two offensive pieces was the No. 1 long snapper in the country according to Chris Rubio Long Snapping. As one of the nation's best long snappers, Jacob Zuhr will be heading to the All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas on Jan. 4.

Offensive weapons flood in
Just 20 minutes into the early signing period, seven future Demon Deacons had put pen to paper and submitted their LOIs. All seven came on the offensive side of the ball including quarterback Mitch Griffis. The signal caller from Ashburn, Va. threw for over 3,000 yards and 40 touchdowns as a senior, earning All-State honors and region Player of the Year.
One of the weapons out of the backfield included the leading rusher in North Carolina. Quinton Cooley rushed for 2,977 yards, an average of 212.6 yards per game during his senior campaign. He ranks second in the nation with 352 points scored and third with 54 touchdowns this season. Wake Forest also added another weapon in 6-3 wide receiver Jahmal Banks. He helped lead St. Frances Academy to the No. 4 national ranking in the USA Today poll.
