Botzer Withdraws from NCAA Singles Championship

Bar Botzer’s run at the NCAA Singles Championship comes to an end due to injury
ORLANDO, Fla. – Wake Forest sophomore Bar Botzer's run at the NCAA Singles Championship came to an end on Wednesday (May 22), as Botzer withdrew from the tournament prior to his Round of 16 match.
Botzer, who was scheduled to face Aleksander Kovacevic of Illinois this afternoon, was forced to bow out of the competition to due to a foot injury.
The sophomore from Tel Aviv, Israel, earned his first-ever ITA All-America honor on Tuesday when he defeated Ole Miss' Tim Sandkaulen in the Round of 32. He finishes the season with a 40-6 singles record, the second-most singles victories in Wake Forest single-season history.
