Freshman Calvin Harris scored his first collegiate goal in the 76th minute for the game-winner.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Calvin Harris scored his first collegiate goal in the 76th minute as No. 4 Wake Forest shut out Creighton, 1-0, at Spry Stadium on Sunday night.

The Demon Deacon (2-0) back line didn't allow a shot on goal as Andrew Pannenberg recorded the shutout.

"I thought it was a good team performance," head coach Bobby Muuss said. "It was really important for us to get a shutout. I thought Nico Benalcazar and Michael DeShields were really tuned in on the back line. We're extremely happy to start the season 2-0."

Afer a scoreless first 75 minutes, Machop Chol was dribbling down the right sideline and sent in a cross, where Harris beat the keeper with a tap-in goal.

While the Deacs had advantages in shots (13-6) and corners (7-3), the Jays (0-1-1) committed 11 more fouls and picked up four yellow cards while the Deacs didn't have any.

Wake Forest is back in action on Friday, playing host to Dartmouth at 7 p.m. on ACCNX.
