Next Home Game: Deacons Celebrate Homecoming vs. Elon, Sept. 21

Wake Forest will host Elon for Homecoming on Saturday, September 21 at BB&T Field with a noon kickoff. The Deacons enter the game 3-0 on the season following Friday night's 24-18 win over North Carolina. Wake Forest is receiving votes in the Amway Coaches Poll, ranking No. 30 in the nation.
Elon is off to a 2-1 start, having defeated Richmond 42-20 on Saturday night in Richmond. Elon was ranked No. 25 in the Football Championship Subdivision rankings on Sept. 8 and is likely to move up in this week's rankings.
Elon, under first year head coach Tony Trisciani, defeated Southern Conference member The Citadel 35-28 on Sept. 7. Saturday, The Citadel upset Georgia Tech in Atlanta by a 27-24 score in overtime.
Wake Forest posted its best rushing night of the season by compiling 222 yards on the ground. Wide receiver Sage Surratt had had nine receptions for a career-high 169 yards while the defense collected a season-best six sacks against UNC quarterbacks.
