Women's Cross Country to Race in Boston

Wake Forest's women's cross country team is in Boston on Friday, September 20 and will compete in the Coast to Coast Beantown meet this afternoon. The race begins at 3 p.m. and will be held in Franklin Park in Jamaica Plan, Massachusetts.
Wake Forest's line-up will include seniors Johanna Schulz and Hannah Brookover, sophomores Elise Wright and Meredith Helton, and freshmen Isabelle Dutranoit, Carolina Garrett, Rylee Kopchak, Amy Hardin-Delooze, and Madeline Rehm.
Wright won the Virginia Tech Invitational on September 7 and the Demon Deacons took first place in Blacksburg.
"This will be a nice rust-buster for Johanna after her tremendous summer," said head coach John Hayes. Schulz took third at the German National Championships in the 1500 meters.
"We are excited about how the team is coming around," said Hayes. "It is a good mixture of youth and experience and it feels like this has a chance to be a pretty special season. The Boston race will give us an early look at conference teams like Georgia Tech, Boston College and Syracuse while also facing a variety of teams from other conferences and regions like Eastern Michigan and Dartmouth."
