Poole Coaching with U.S. Women's National Team at January Camp

Wake Forest Associate Head Coach Philip Poole will serve as the goalkeepers coach for Team USA.
CHICAGO -- Philip Poole, the associate head coach of the Wake Forest women's soccer team, was named the goalkeepers coach for the U.S. Women's National Team during its annual January training camp.
The camp runs from Jan. 5-15 in Tampa, Florida. It is the final event before selection of the 20-player roster for the 2020 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament, set for Jan. 28-Feb. 9.
Led by head coach Vlatko Andonovski, Poole will assist by overseeing the keepers, a group which includes Alyssa Naeher, Ashlyn Harris, Jane Cmapbell and Adrianna Franch.
The roster features 22 of the 23 players from the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup champions. The U.S. will kick off 2020 Olympic Qualifying against Haiti on Jan. 28, followed by Panama (Jan. 31) and Costa Rica (Feb. 3).
Poole has been involved with U.S. Soccer since 2012, working as a coach from the U-14 level up to the senior National Team. He just completed his first season at Wake Forest in 2019.
