Florida State Head Coach Leonard Hamilton
Opening Statement
"You gotta give Danny a lot of credit I really thought he had his players prepared. We are a different kind of team than what we have been in the past where we had long, athletic guys in the paint to deter people from driving to the basketball. I think realizing that we got a 7 footer out and a couple big guys in the NBA. I thought they had the right game plan on driving us and getting the free throw line and creating an opportunity for them to get us in foul trouble. That was a very smart move on their part."
On teams experience...
"We are extremely inexperienced, I have six new players. Only two experienced players are MJ (Walker) and Trent (Forrest). If we can continue to keep growing, hopefully we can continue to keep finding way to win games while were still developing."
On handling high ranking…
"We felt all along that we will be ranked at the beginning of the season. We didn't get overly upset because no one respected us and we were not ranked. I think the worst thing we can do now is change our approach that we are because its not important where you're ranked January 8th. The most important thing is where you are at the end of the season."
Wake Forest Head Coach Danny Manning
On Turnovers...
"If you ask them it was bound to happen eventually because that's how they play. For us we want to do a better job on making ourselves available for some of those passes. They have great length and great athleticism and they did a good job at getting in the passing lanes."
On Chaundee Brown's injury...
"When the doctors clear him he'll be ready to go. This is something that he's been battling for a while. When he went down at Pitt it's never a good feeling seeing that. So whenever the doctors give him the clear and he gets into practice he'll be back out there."
Looking ahead to Duke...
"This is what the ACC is about. Night in and night out you play against some great teams and you know you're going to play your fair share on the road. Tomorrow will be a day that we prepare for a very talented team. Won't be able to do much at practice because our guys got to get their legs back under them. "
