This marks the second U.S. Women's National Team senior call-up for Aubrey Bledsoe.

CHICAGO -- Wake Forest alum Aubrey Bledsoe has been called into the United States Women's National Team training camp, coach Vlatko Andonovski announced Thursday. The camp will run from Oct. 18-28 in Commerce City, Colorado, and is the USWNT's first event in seven months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The senior team call-up is the second for Bledsoe, who has yet to receive her first cap. Her first call-up came on Oct. 31, 2019.

"Aubrey has shown that she's one of the elite goalkeepers in the world and is certainly deserving of this opportunity," head coach Tony da Luz said. "We can't wait to watch her represent our country and Wake Forest University on the global stage."

Bledsoe won 2019 NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year honors after leading the league with nine shutouts and 86 saves. She was also named the W-League Goalkeeper of the Year while on loan with Sydney FC in Australia.

At Wake Forest, Bledsoe was a three-time All-American and two-time Academic All-America honoree. She is the Wake Forest career record holder for shutouts (33), goals against average (0.91), games played and started (94) and minutes played in goal (8,692).

"We want to reward players who have done well for their clubs and give them a chance to step up and perform in our environment," Andonovski said in a release. "We have a lot of uncapped players and a few who have had the chance to earn a few caps, but we know that deepening our player pool is important as we head into 2021."
