11/11/2020 9:32:00 AM | Women's Basketball
Wake Forest is set to open the conference season at home against North Carolina on December 10.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced the full women's basketball regular season conference schedule on Wednesday morning.
"After a strong finish to the 2019-20 season that included an exciting run in the ACC Tournament, I am excited to see the progress that Coach Hoover's squad continues to make," Director of Athletics John Currie said. "We are grateful to Commissioner John Swofford, Senior Associate Commissioner for Women's Basketball Mary McElroy and the entire ACC staff for creating a schedule that will allow our student-athletes to compete in a healthy environment."
The schedule conference slate features 10 home contests including six in the month of January.
The Deacs first conference game of the season comes on Dec. 10 when they play host to North Carolina at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Last season, Wake Forest closed out the regular season with an overtime victory over North Carolina. Ten days later in the ACC Tournament First Round, the Deacs swept the season series over the Tar Heels with an 83-73 win, helping spark their run to the quarterfinals.
Game times and broadcast information for the non-conference and subsequent ACC contests will be announced at a later date.
